Richard L Bowen + Associates (RLB+A) was selected to prepare detailed plans to fully renovate and restore this 3-story office and apartment building which had been vacant and neglected for many years. Poorly maintained terra cotta tile and steel lintels required careful, precise restoration techniques. The RLB+A team performed a physical survey of the existing terra cotta conditions. Thorough repair of the terra cotta and remaining exterior brought new life to the building and inspired other neighborhood improvements.
The listing of the Weizer Building on the National Register for Historic Places allowed the owner to make use of Historic Tax Credits.
