Our collaborative design studio honors our legacy and looks to an exciting future
In 2019, Bowen transitioned to a 100% employee-owned company. Our new home on Cleveland’s Flats West Bank symbolizes our new ownership and management structure. This design studio reflects and supports collaborative design, creates change, and connects them to the dynamics of Downtown Cleveland. This reimagined environment celebrates our legacy while leading us to their exciting next chapter.
Workstations cluster around the building’s geometry to group departments together in a flexible open environment. Conference rooms and huddle rooms with OLED monitors scattered throughout both floors create opportunities for meetings, calls, and wireless presentations. The floorplan creates a spirit of transparency and communication that reflects the culture of an employee-owned company.
Our studio embraces and celebrates the building’s industrial origins. Original details throughout the space—like steel brackets and an original elevator door—add character and visual interest. Exposed brick and open ceilings add warmth and texture. Modern white furnishings contrast the irregular texture of the brick and reflect the dynamic of both the space and the firm. Cool grey accents soften both the original industrial elements and the sleek white additions, bringing a welcoming feeling overall.
