Supporting educators in Cuyahoga County
Bowen designed and oversaw construction for interior build-out of the new Educational Services Center of Cuyahoga County (ESC). Bowen designed the mix of private and open offices without the obstruction of solid partitions, allowing natural light to permeate all spaces. Color-tinted glazing defines open and enclosed collaboration areas, while an open grid ceiling expands the visual height of the space at select areas. The first floor of the facility includes a series of flexible conference rooms with a separate entrance, used for educator training sessions and events.
Bowen’s in-house Construction Management team to handle all estimating and construction administration and provide consistent on-site project management.
After the facility opened in 2013, Bowen continued to design further renovation projects for this facility. Further renovations and concepts included a new entrance for the first floor conference facility, a new reception area for the main lobby, and an expansion into newly available space.
Most recently, Bowen converted under-utilized mezzanine space into two glass-enclosed conference rooms overlooking the building’s lobby. We also expanded a conference room off their reception space, doubling its size to allow for larger groups and more interactive work sessions.
