Middleburg Heights Community Recreation Center

Designed to enhance the quality of life for all community residents

Working with city officials and resident committees, Bowen and The Sports Management Group created detailed layouts of all sports, recreation, and gathering areas so that the design reflected community desires.

The Community Recreation Center provides a focal point for the city, anchoring the west end of the municipal campus (city hall, police, and fire). The Center is adjacent to existing city-owned outdoor sports fields that were tied to the campus plan with a new gazebo/public pavilion near the fields. A new Veterans Memorial was created in a park-like setting in front of the Recreation Center.

The facility includes an indoor recreation pool, outdoor pool, two-court gymnasium, walk/jog track, fitness center, community hall, activity/event rooms, and a child care room. The Center is designed to enhance the quality of life for Middleburg Heights residents with a family-oriented, social gathering place, and indoor and outdoor sports programs.
